  The food was good. But the drinks, a different story,at least for me. I ordered a perfect Manhattan. What came back had a dessert wine's sweetness, which is nothing like what a Manhattan should be. I sent it back. The replacement was the same. l took it back to the bartender.She could not tell what they used for Vermouth because they"had to get it from the kitchen"! I gave up at that point. This only 3 stars for the once superb Bear Cafe. Albert Grossman (the founder) would be embarrassed.
